Christopher Wray

After concluding his articles at Demas Schaefer in October of 2023, Christopher expanded his practice into insurance defence and administrative law.

In 2025, he transitioned back again to family law, while adding wills and estates, real estate, and general civil litigation work to his practice. He has appeared before the Alberta Court of King's Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice. Christopher continues to enjoy working in family law, and remains eager to apply what he has learned to serve his clients’ needs. 

Christopher completed his undergraduate degree at MacEwan University and his law degree at the University of Calgary. He prides himself on bringing a calm, consistent, and deliberate demeanour to the room during high conflict or sensitive matters. Christopher works hard to reach agreements prior to litigation as most families are better served by something they helped build for themselves, as opposed to the imposition of an order. Once all viable settlement alternatives are explored, and if the other side will not move, or a client's position needs to be protected, he is experienced and willing to go to court.  

Prior to his legal practice, Christopher spent five years as a goaltender with the MacEwan Griffins hockey team, where he was a two-time league champion and program record holder for career regular-season minutes played and wins. Outside the office he is usually at the family cabin at Calling Lake, on a golf course, or under the supervision of his dog, Etheldred.
